ABOUT BIG GUY LAKE HOCKEY
Big Guy Lake Sports was formed in 2005 when a few members of the Prince George Lumber Kings and the Nak'azdli Chiefs wanted to continue the tradition of attending the best Indigenous Hockey and Fastball Tournaments in Western Canada as a local squad. When the two storied squads joined forces to continue to attend the tournaments in Western Canada and continue to travel despite not having a tournament in the northern part of the province since 2009 a special bond was created and the hockey team set the bar high and it continues today through hard work, discipline and resiliency. The BGL Hockey program started working with the youth in 2015 through sponsorship and providing skill development on & off the ice and have three teams participating in the Prince George Aboriginal Youth Hockey Championships.
